Walk Cycle

Box modeled this character in about 20 minutes and spent about the same on weight painting. The real time was in the creation of the rig and all of it's deformation constraints. I was having issues with the head and neck's connected parent situation, which left the head bone without inherit rotation. In short the head isn't moving the way I'd like it too, but I'm especially happy with all of the other movements.

Female Bust

This is some more recent work. The style is a mix of anime and proper anatomy. I extended everything I learned from the first bust to get a better result with this one. I painted a faint skin texture in photoshop, really only giving the lips some color and creating minor skin tone variations. The eye texturing was a great learning experience and I even attempted the particle system again for the hair.

Hard Surface Study

Noticed I have only really worked on organic shapes, so I decided to do a hard surface modeling study. I was happy with the style resulting from a mix of procedural texturing and minimal lighting.

Male Bust

This work is old as well, but it represents my first totally finished 3D project. Poly modeled to multiresolution sculpt, tangent normal map baked, skin textures(color, bump, specular) all painted with Photoshop and even a little FX with the particle system to attempt some hair.

Legit Pen

This render is about two years old, but it shows my first attempt at advanced texturing techniques. There's a reflection of the pen on the tile, text that is UV mapped, and even a subtle bump on the clicking mechanism for the BIC logo.

Life Drawing Two

I enjoyed drawing the first skull from life, so I set up a Halloween decoration and started sketching.

Life Drawing

This was my first attempt at drawing from life. I did a little study on this skull.
